Abstract

In March 2017, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 130.06 in February 2017 to 129.93 in March 2017, resulting in deflation of 0.10 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in March 2017 was 1.26 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in March 2017 was 3.67 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, three groups experienced deflation, namely the foodstuffs group which fell by 0.60 percent; the transportation, communications and financial services group fell 0.39 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group fell 0.06 percent. On the other hand, four expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups which increased by 0.38 percent; the clothing group and health group rose 0.31 percent; and the prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.02 percent.
