Abstract

In January 2017, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced an increase in the index from 128.31 in December 2016 to 129.36 in January 2017, resulting in inflation of 0.82 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in January 2017 was 0.82 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in January 2017 was 3.29 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group which rose 0.51 percent; the prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.32 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose 0.64 percent; health group rose 1.69 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group rose 2.76 percent. On the other hand, two groups experienced deflation, namely the clothing group which fell by 0.02 percent and the education, recreation and sports group which fell by 0.15 percent.
