Abstract

In July 2017, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 130.50 in June 2017 to 131.38 in July 2017, resulting in deflation of 0.09 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in July 2017 was 2.40 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in July 2017 was 4.30 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, two groups experienced deflation, namely the foodstuffs group fell by 0.68 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group fell 1.13 percent. On the other hand, the ready-made food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups experienced inflation (increasing by 0.54 percent); housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group at 0.21 percent; clothing group by 0.04 percent; health group at 0.43 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group at 1.07 percent.
