Abstract

September 2017, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced an increase in the index from 130.89 in August 2017 to 131.19 in September 2017, resulting in inflation of 0.23 percent.

Based on calculations, inflation for the calendar year (point to point) in September 2017 was 2.25 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in September 2017 was 3.85 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups experienced inflation (increased by 0.02 percent); housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.15 percent; clothing group by 0.30 percent; education, recreation and sports group at 4.75 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group at 0.06 percent. On the other hand, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation (down by 0.69 percent); and the health group at 0.21 percent.
