In December 2016, the Lampung Combined CPI index
increased from 127.52 in November 2016 to 128.31 in December 2016, resulting in
inflation of 0.61 percent.
Based on calendar year inflation calculations (point
to point), December 2016 experienced inflation of 2.78 percent, and year on
year (yoy) inflation in December 2016 was also 2.78 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups
experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group which rose 0.47 percent; the
prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.13 percent;
housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose 1.42 percent; clothing
group rose 0.18 percent; the education, recreation and sports group rose 0.01
percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group
rose 0.61 percent. On the other hand, the health group experienced deflation
(down 0.02 percent).
Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in December
2016, Bandar Lampung and Metro experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation
was 0.70 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.13 percent.
