Abstract

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group which rose 1.02 percent; the prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.21 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose 0.14 percent; clothing group rose 0.11 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial services group rose 1.09 percent. On the other hand, the health group experienced deflation (down 0.09 percent), and the education, recreation and sports group fell 0.12 percent.
