April
2016, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 125.32
in March 2016 to 124.37 in April 2016, resulting in deflation of 0.76 percent.
Based
on calendar year inflation calculations (point to point), April 2016
experienced inflation of -0.38 percent, and year on year (yoy) inflation in
April 2016 was 3.80 percent.
Of the
seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced deflation, namely the
foodstuffs group which fell 1.90 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas
and fuel group fell 0.21 percent; the education, recreation and sports group
fell 0.08 percent; and the transportation, communications and financial
services group fell 1.70 percent. On the other hand, the clothing group
experienced inflation of 0.34 percent, and the health group experienced
inflation of 0.17 percent. The processed food, beverages, cigarettes and
tobacco groups did not experience changes in the index.
