Abstract

In February 2016, the Lampung Composite CPI experienced a decline in the index from 125.24 in January 2016 to 124.78 in February 2016, resulting in deflation of 0.36 percent.

Based on calendar year inflation calculations (point to point), February 2016 experienced deflation of 0.05 percent, and year on year (yoy) inflation in February 2016 was 5.29 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, there were three groups that experienced deflation, namely the foodstuffs group which fell 1.26 percent; sports, communications and financial services group 0.34 percent; and water, electricity, gas and fuel housing group 0.29 percent. Four other groups experienced inflation, namely the health group rose 0.43 percent; the prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose 0.24 percent; and the clothing group rose 0.14 percent.
