Lampung Province's Foreign Trade Balance, January 2017 experienced a surplus of US$124.04 million

Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in January 2017 reached US$360.07 million, experiencing a decrease of US$25.97 million or down 6.73 percent compared to December 2016 exports which were recorded at US$386.04 million. Compared to January 2016, exports of January 2017 were recorded at US$273.54 million, an increase of US$86.50 million or an increase of 31.64 percent.

The five main categories of goods exported by Lampung Province in January 2017 were animal/vegetable fats & oils, coffee, tea & spices, coal, fish & shrimp and processed fruit/vegetables. The increase in exports from January 2017 to December 2016 occurred only in one main category of goods, namely animal/vegetable fats & oils, which increased by 12.13 percent, while four main categories of goods experienced a decline, namely coal, which fell by 45.44 percent; fish & shrimp fell by 15.63 percent; coffee, tea & spices fell by 24.32 percent, and processed fruit/vegetables fell by 16.61 percent.
