Abstract

In August 2017, Bandar Lampung City experienced deflation of 0.42 percent due to a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 130.50 in July 2017 to 129.95 in August 2017. Two expenditure groups contributed to deflation in Bandar Lampung City, namely the group foodstuffs contributed to deflation of 0.30 percent; and the transport, communications & financial services group at 0.16 percent. On the other hand, two expenditure groups contributed to inflation, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group contributed to inflation of 0.03 percent; and the health group at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the other three groups did not contribute to inflation.
